Wildlife pictures continued

Image
Here are more pictures of the wildlife I snapped, ranging from lions, giraffes, zebras and wallabies. It was a beautiful experience seeing the well fed animals out and enjoying in the open. The best experience I had was a chance of seeing two cute wallabies fighting , I don't know over what but it was just so so cute. Check out the last three photos for the fighting wallabies :)

Windermere lake - here we come.

Hi guys, hope you are doing good, I am back to blogging after a small gap, was pretty busy moving my home. Well let me not waste any more time and welcome you back to the journey in Lake district with me.  Continuing from my previous post - after we started from Aira Falls on a road trip to Lake Windermere, I was not quite sure what to expect. The roads were very narrow and it was raining heavily, so trusting my satellite navigation device I was blindly following the route and few minutes into the drive, the road started off on an elevation. It was all normal until I saw distant hills and a narrow road snaking in between them and I knew instantly that this drive is going to be fun. It was a beautiful experience driving through the hills in rain and mist and the mist just got thicker and thicker with elevation. There were times when I could not see beyond 15ft and was blindly following the tail lamps of the car ahead of me, hoping the guy knew where the road was ;) Well, fo

Aira Falls - Lake District

After spending 3 months in Scotland, me and my wife finally packed our bags to leave to England and decided to stay overnight at Windermere Lake in Lake District. Lake District is a very scenic place in the county of Cumbria and has one of the best views of the enchanting lakes hidden in the hills. I would recommend to drive there and enjoy the scenic landscape, which is really breathtaking. We went to Ullswater lake first, stopping at Aira Falls and finally driving down to the Windermere lake. Aira Falls is preserved by 'The National Trust' and is a gorgeous location for a rugged 1.5 miles trek in a hilly forest to enjoy the stunning waterfalls. It was raining continuously that day adding to the atmosphere. The moment you start your trek in the forest, you are instantly greeted by the distant sound of water splashing on to the rocks even though you cannot see the waterfalls yet. This is when I knew that my camera was going to be busy that day :) Truly after fe
