Aira Falls - Lake District

Image
After spending 3 months in Scotland, me and my wife finally packed our bags to leave to England and decided to stay overnight at Windermere Lake in Lake District. Lake District is a very scenic place in the county of Cumbria and has one of the best views of the enchanting lakes hidden in the hills. I would recommend to drive there and enjoy the scenic landscape, which is really breathtaking. We went to Ullswater lake first, stopping at Aira Falls and finally driving down to the Windermere lake. Aira Falls is preserved by 'The National Trust' and is a gorgeous location for a rugged 1.5 miles trek in a hilly forest to enjoy the stunning waterfalls. It was raining continuously that day adding to the atmosphere. The moment you start your trek in the forest, you are instantly greeted by the distant sound of water splashing on to the rocks even though you cannot see the waterfalls yet. This is when I knew that my camera was going to be busy that day :) Truly after fe

Glasgow Botanical Garden - Plants,Flowers I  had a good time today searching for these pictures from my archive and working on them to post it here for you all to see. Though I was not able to capture much of the beautiful garden, but I still thought of sharing with you the individual pictures that remind me of this place and the lovely time I spent here.  I hope these pictures provide you the daily relaxation and the motivation to spend some time with nature at greener pastures closer to your home.

Glasgow Botanical Garden Pictures - Flowers,Rain forest,Vibrant Colours During my stay at Glasgow I had a chance to shoot very beautiful flora & fauna. The garden situated in the heart of the city, was a green escape from the maddening city traffic and noise. The splendid collection of various plants, flowers, shoots, cacti from all over the world can easily keep a nature admirer hooked on for hours. Not to be missed is the live rain forest area in a temperature controlled zone. Hope my photos motivate you to make a visit to this wonderful place, if you are in the city and have not gone yet :)

Exploring United Kingdom - Part 1

Hi there, welcome to my new blog where I regularly post my experiences and share my travel photos with you.  I chose to focus my first post in bringing you the various sights of United Kingdom which you would normally not see elsewhere, because the first thing that comes to mind when someone speaks about Britain is London. Well it is not a surprise given so many attractions and such vibrant crowd from different cultures, it can be easily understood why so many people speak about London - not to forget it is also the style capital after Paris. But my focus here has been to show you pictures of places that people do not know of much and to tell them that there is a lot that meets the eye here. So here you go with the posts: Exploring United Kingdom - Part 1 & Part 2 The famous city of Bath, where writer Jane Austen once lived. Windsor Castle where Knighthood is given to extraordinary people. Ancient Roman bath @ Bath City

Best of Scotland Pictures

The more I think back on the best landscape I came across through my travel across the lengths of UK, the more I am biased with Scotland. Though its true that I had never been to Wales, but I have heard a lot of good things especially about the Snowdonia mountains. Anyhow that's for an another day! I will start with Edinburgh for the purpose of this post. Edinburgh the capital city of Scotland has a very rich culture and an amazing old world architecture. The moment you step out into City Centre, you are instantly transported to a different world. You can see the vastly burnt buildings (yet still standing intact) due to wars (yes Scotland's got a violent history and you will soon get tired listening to stories of wars, atleast I did ;) Today it is a different story though with rush hour crowds, mostly tourists from worldover and the bagpipers sounding somewhere in the corner, you know that this is certainly one of the destinations to explore. Edinburgh gives you more
